9/24/09 KING'S score first ever Middle-School Victory!!
A first half battle turned in to a rout as the King's scored 3 unanswered touchdowns in the second half, enroute to a 32-14 win. Seth Kearney led all rushers with 4 TD's. Dylan Degroot hit paydirt with one TD and Whit Wiggins scored his first points of the season, after it looked like he was stopped at the line of scrimmage, Whit drug three blazer players into the end zone.
Cody Ratcliffe scored twice, only to have both scores called back due to penalties. Ratcliffe and Kearney amassed nearly 300 yards in rushing offense for the King's.
The defense shut out the Blazers in the second half as Jacob Kluch caused nummerous fumbles on the defensive side not to mention several bone crushing tackles that disrupted the Blazer offense. A defense led by Kearney, wiggins, Ratcliffe, and Russell, was flawless in the second half.
Luke Griner had one of the best hits of the day, tackling the Blazers biggest player, as it looked like he would go untouched to the end zone on a kick-off. Josh Penano also stopped a game breaking play by running down one of the Blazers running backs from behind on a crucial 3rd and 3.
Garrett Pyncknel stepped up, as he was called to hold down the center duties for the entire game after Jared Nash was ruled ineligible to play because of the cast he was wearing.
Everyone contributed to the King's first win, one for the HISTORY BOOKS!!
Go King's!!
